French public institutes and the Erasmus+ programme offer a large number of scholarships for foreign students to help them finance their studies in France and Europe. There are also co-financed programs offered by the French government.
Campus Bourses: tool for finding funding
Campus Bourses (Campus Scholarships) provides information on the scholarships offered to foreign students.
The tool lists all financing assistance provided by the States (French and foreign), regional authorities, companies, foundations and institutes of higher education (private and public). Filter your search by nationality, field and level of studies to find the grant program that matches your profile.
Graduate Scholars in France
Coordinated by the French Embassy in Canada and Campus France, the Graduate Scholars in France program provides full-tuition scholarships to high-potential students who choose to pursue Master's degrees in French higher education institutions.

A newly-launched scholarship program to catalyze high-potential students who choose to pursue graduate study in France
The Graduate Scholars in France program aims to support up to 10 Canadian students each year, under the status of French Government Scholarship Recipient (Boursier du gouvernement français) at the level of a Social Security Grant (Bourse de couverture sociale).
The benefits of being selected as a Graduate Scholar in France extend beyond the financial award, and include access to housing support, a network of other global scholars, and support from the Campus France Agency while in country.

France-Acadie Scholarship
This scholarship program is jointly administered by the French government, through the General Consulate of France in the Atlantic Provinces, and the Société Nationale de l’Acadie.
To be eligible to the France-Acadie Scholarship, students must meet the following critieria:
- Be Canadian citizens and be permanent residents or residents for at least 3 years in one of the Atlantic Provinces of Canada (NB, PEI, NL, NS).
- Be enrolled in one of the universities of the Atlantic Provinces of Canada.
- Must have completed at least 1 year of higher studies.
- Must be at least 18 yo when they leave for France.
- Study as an exchange student for a minimum of one semester in France and a maximum of one year. Applications from students staying in France for an academic year will be given priority.

French + Sciences and French + Gastronomy summer programs
For undergraduate students, enrolled in a Canadian university -outside of Quebec
French + Sciences is a 3-to-4 weeks short language and scientific stays in cutting-edge technological sectors (in June each year). French + Gastronomy is a 3-week program that combines French courses, cultural discoveries and exciting workshops in the hotel and restaurant industry (in June/July each year). The programs have been designed for English-speaking international students who may be completely beginners in French.

Frontenac Scholarship
At the Master's level, Quebec students can benefit from the Frontenac scholarship program.
The scholarship amounts to $6,000 and is awarded once a year for a minimum of three months of study in France.
It is intended to finance the cost of transportation to and from France and Quebec, local travel, as well as the student's living allowance.
A call for applications will be open until May 2024 (date TBA) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Scholarships from regional authorities
French regions and towns allocate scholarships to foreign students enrolled in programmes in their region. They also award doctoral and postdoctoral grants managed by the institutes of higher education and research. Regional scholarships may also be allocated to foreign students as part of exchange agreements with foreign institutes.
The Erasmus+ mobility scholarships for foreign students
The Erasmus Mundus joint Master Degree (EMJMD) is an international study programme that awards scholarships to the world's best students for one or two years, regardless of their field of studies. To receive one, these students must take their master's programme in at least two countries participating in the programme. Several French institutes of higher education offer joint Master's programmes.
In the framework of bilateral agreements between institutes of higher education, Erasmus+ also offers mobility scholarships from and to France. They cover removal and accommodation costs. Find out more from the institute you are enrolled in.
